Norwest Holst Awarded £16 Million Contract by Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust
Integrated Health Projects (IHP), a joint venture between Norwest Holst and Sir Robert McAlpine, has been awarded a £16 million contract by the Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust for the construction of a threestorey building at The Royal Oldham Hospital in Manchester.
The building will contain a Radiotherapy Centre for The Christie, which will enable patients from the NorthEast area of Greater Manchester who require radiotherapy to have much shorter travel distances to gain treatment.
This is the third project awarded to Norwest Holst by the Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. The first, also at Royal Oldham, was valued at £14 million and included the construction of new laboratory accommodation and the refurbishment of existing laboratory space for use as consultant offices and meeting rooms. Most recently, the Company has been awarded a £29 million contract for the construction of a women and children’s unit at North Manchester General Hospital.
