Taylor Woodrow Retains Highways Agency Facilities Management Contract
The Highways Agency has extended its facilities management contract
with Taylor Woodrow Facilities Management (part of VINCI Facilities)
until 2011.
The contract, valued at £3.4 million per annum commenced in
2005 for the provision of FM services at seven Regional Control Centres
and 32 Traffic Officers’ outstations.
The buildings incorporate IT and communication equipment in
‘state of the art’ video control rooms for the
Highways Agency and the police. These facilities are appropriately
placed to cover the strategic road network. They are operational 24
hours a day, enabling the Highways Agency to effectively manage the
network and minimise congestion.
Taylor Woodrow’s innovation and commercial control has
resulted in annual savings of around £140k. These
achievements lead to the Highways Agency increasing the scope of
services Taylor Woodrow provide to include the procurement and stock
management of consumables and equipment for the Highways
Agency’s Traffic Officer Service vehicle fleet.
