Chair in “Eco-Design of buildings and infrastructure”
In conjunction with
three ParisTech schools (Mines ParisTech, École des Ponts et Chaussées,
Agro ParisTech), VINCI has signed a partnership to set up the first
Chair in “Eco-Design of buildings and infrastructure”, for a duration
of five years. This partnership aims to support scientific advances,
primarily by creating benchmark measuring systems (labels,
eco-assessment tools, etc.) and making them available to people
involved in urban life and development (designers, construction
companies and users.) The subject will be studied by undergraduate
engineers and Master's and PhD students attending the three schools,
contributing to the training of numerous students and development of a
nucleus of specialised researchers, for both ParisTech and VINCI.
With the chair in eco-design, VINCI is creating a new model of cooperation between the corporate world and academic research. It is also sending out a strong signal in terms of eco-urban development.
