Our approach
VINCI in the non-financial indexes
The VINCI approach on
sustainable development is regularly – and positively – assessed by
analysts and rating agencies specialising in socially responsible
investment. For instance, VINCI has featured for a number of years now
in the Vigeo Group agency's Aspi Eurozone index, composed of the 120
companies in the euro zone with the best social and environmental
performance.
In 2008, thanks in particular to the progress it has made as regards quantification of its CO2 emissions and eco-design, VINCI was included in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World), an index that selects the "top 10%" of socially responsible companies worldwide from the 2,000 largest market capitalisations, i.e. 200 companies. VINCI is also one of the shares analysed in the annual Carbon Disclosure Project survey, which assesses large companies' capacity to react to the challenges of climate change. The 2008 version of this survey gave the Group a "best in class" ranking in its sector.
