Our challenges
VINCI involves suppliers
in its sustainable development approach through its purchasing policy.
Our relations with suppliers are based on the same principles of respect and responsibility as underpin our human resources policy and environmental approach. These principles are given concrete form in the framework contracts that structure our purchasing policy and make it part of a long-term approach.
In parallel, all VINCI subsidiaries are committed to a high level of quality to satisfy and anticipate their customers' demands.
The main lines of the purchasing policy
Our purchasing policy is managed by the central purchasing coordination unit and disseminated through the regional purchasing clubs.
The purchasing coordination unit is responsible for:
- integrating sustainable development principles and criteria into buyers' practices, on a step-by-step basis through the regional purchasing clubs
- including contractual clauses relating to sustainable development in VINCI framework contracts
- encouraging buyers to innovate and use their initiative
- training buyers in sustainable development purchasing
Priority actions initiated at Group level
- integrating VINCI choices in all approved framework contracts
- assessing supplier compliance with the Group's undertakings on safety, diversity, combating discrimination, etc.
- including the Global Compact clause in all VINCI framework contracts
The main lines of our quality policy
- anticipating and responding to our customers' expectations
- involving suppliers in our environmental policy on greenhouse gas emissions
- involving suppliers in our environmental policy on treatment and recycling of waste
